A tree lined straight par 3. From the tee this hole looks very tight, but after about 100 yards the fairway widens, especially near the green. Two bunkers guard the front and out of bounds is behind the green.

PRO TIP

Regarded as one of the hardest starting holes in somerset, a tough par 3, think about laying up short of the bunkers and chip on. A four is a very respectable start to your round.

This hole is stroke index 18, so a short par 4. If you play as a two shot hole, there is plenty of room from the tee The green is cuddled by the trees all round it and safety is at the front of the green. The dangers come into play if you try to be greedy and drive to the green hunting a birdie.

PRO TIP

A risk and reward dogleg par 4, an iron from the tee up the centre of the fairway will leave a short approach to the green. For the longer hitters meanwhile, a tee shot over the trees could leave an eagle or birdie chance.

A very strong par 4. The further you go from the tee, the more accurate you need to be. This hole is a tree lined right-to-left dog leg, with a green sloping from back-to-front.

PRO TIP

A fantastic driving hole especially from the back tee, a drive to the right of the fairway will give you the best view of the green for your second shot.

A relatively short par 5, it is comfortably reachable in two. This can, however, be when trouble can come into play. With the practice ground to the left of the fairway out of bounds, if you try to take too much of the corner, you might have trouble. This hole is a 90 degree right to left dog leg with a well guarded green. There are bunkers left and right with a river and out of bounds behind the green.

PRO TIP

A nice par 5, a tee shot to the corner of the dogleg gives you a chance to get home in two. Beware, however, as the green is well protected with bunkers left and right and water to the back. Just remember the practice ground to the left is out of bounds from the tee.

A short but challenging par 3, where all the danger is close to the green. Out of bounds is to the left, right and long with a pond to the front, while there is also a bunker to the left side of the green. The green is raised at the back so long is not safe as the slope runs to the out of bounds.

PRO TIP

A tough par 3 that demands respect. If you decide to take the green on from the tee, remember that out of bounds is left, to the right and long with water at the front. If you have a shot at this hole, maybe lay up and chip on.

A slightly softer par 3 than the fifth, this green is two tiered and has a wide lay up area. But, when you get level with the green you will find three bunkers to the left and two to the right, with a hedge just behind the raised green.

PRO TIP

This par 3 offers a lot more room, a mid iron to a guarded two-tier green. All the trouble is long so don’t over club, especially if the pin is on the top tier.

After a very tight tee shot - which is a feature here at Vivary - the fairway widens the closer you get to this raised but flat green.

A tough drive from the back tee, but from the yellow tee it’s a nice simple par 4, watch out for the slope at the front of green as anything short will roll off it.

This is a nice flat par 3, with out of bounds to the right of this hole all the way down. The green is well protected with bunkers to the left, right and behind.

A gentle downhill par 3, where a pond guards the front of the green with trees and a small grass ditch to the right. The green is long and thin, with a runoff area to the left.

A very tight drive with out of bounds on the right-hand side, once you get to the corner of the 90-degree dogleg it’s a short pitch to a long narrow green, be careful as the out of bounds is just off the back of the green.

A straight drive is required here, get to the corner of the dogleg and the green is a short pitch away, if you are shorter off the tee, favour the right-hand side to allow enough room to get over the trees. Not too far right as the practice ground is out of bounds.

The second par 5 here at Vivary features a slight dog leg from left to right, with out of bounds all the way down the left. If you push your tee shot, you may find yourself on the 12th fairway! The green is very long with one bunker to the front right.

The harder par 5 of the two here at Vivary. All the trouble is to the left, so a shorter drive will give you a chance to get home in three comfortably. For the braver of you, a slight left to right drive will leave a birdie chance. Mind the river on the left!

A short par 4 with a chance of reaching the green from the tee. There are two very well-placed fairway bunkers on the right-hand side 30 yards short of the green. Make sure you don't go long as out of bounds is just behind the two-tiered green. There is also a greenside bunker on the left.
